PARISH ASSEMBLY
Invitation for All Parishioners from Bishop Lewandowski
Bishop Lewandowski has called for every parish throughout the Diocese of Providence to hold an assembly this fall. Assemblies give clergy and parishioners an opportunity to gather for prayer and guided discussion to set pastoral priorities. They are not intended to change the liturgy, dogmas, or doctrines of the Church. Rather, the purpose of the assembly is to:
Listen together for how the Holy Spirit is calling us to live the Church’s mission more faithfully in our time and place
Identify pastoral needs
Discern next steps for ministry, evangelization, and renewal
Strengthen shared responsibility for the mission of our parishes and our diocese
Our parish assembly will be held Thursday, October 1 at 6:30 pm in the OLM School Cafeteria. The Bishop hopes parishioners will come and provide thoughtful input.
